Initially very good

Initially I was very pleased with the heel guard, which I purchased to fit into the heals of a pair of Berghaus walking shoes, whilst the shoes are generally in good condition though the lining in the heel was showing signs of wear even though I always loosen the laces and use a shoe horn when putting on the shoes. When I initially installed the heal guards I though great these look good, after using them daily for about a month I noted the adhesive retaining the heel guards was peeling away from the shoes also from the material lining on she heel side of the guard, on investigation the extent of the loss of adhesion was greater then I first thought, to counter this I applied a layer of contact adhesive both between the shoe and the heel guard also between the heel guard and the layer of material covering the external face of the heal guard, that was about eight days ago, so far so good, all remains firmly in place.
